From the initial site visit and client meeting, this project has been a unique and interactive experience between myself, the township of Newton and the client Jeremy and Jane Sippel. The site sits in a conservation district and existing neighborhood swale which works to retain storm water. The challenge to add a large amount of impervious surface and manage storm-water is on and will be solved using property trench drains and grading in the concrete toward the existing swale. An additional infiltration pit will be constructed to slow storm-water and direct downspouts. The design concept meshes a modern, naturalistic approach with a comprehensively curvi-linear form. The use of landscape boulders, ornamental grasses and a dive rock compliment a radiused pool design to enhance the open environment at the Sippel Residence. The property intends to be fully fenced in with 54" Black Opal Aluminum fencing to add a clean finishing touch. The front of the property will feature a complimentary curvi-linear stamped concrete porch form to allow for sitting space and tie in the design concept. Re-location of the existing shed on-site occurred. Project was recently completed in Summer of 2018.
