Project Description:This project focused on Kingsessing Neighborhood Analysis stemmed from an internship with the Student Conservation Association with John Heinz Wildlife Refuge to research, analyze and design a space for a community garden and park for John Heinz and educational public outreach. The analysis focusing on the neighborhood of Kingsessing specifically with things like lack of trees and green space, transportation corridors and walk sheds from the candidate spaces. The analysis then focusing in on the immediate surrounding context at the chosen site. Then once the site was in the design phase, site analysis was performed using a bubble diagram blossoming from the community and followed up with a detailed site specific analysis with information such as sun/shade, access, safety, and site feature locations.
