This project is for my family and address creating a unique, lower maintenance property design. Currently installed Summer of 2018 was a EP Henry Bristol Stone 'Avalon' Blend walkway on the side of the home. In fall of 2018, W4T installed a similar patio against the garage for the grille and installed stepping stone walkways around the sides of the garage. I designed the walkway to have river rock (small and large) to soak up the water in the low area of the yard, as well as a dry river rock swale lining the walkway. This allows water to run to swale and whatever water does not, soaks into the walkway. The beds on either side of the swale were built up and shade tolerant plantings installed. The opposite side of the garage features a river rock infiltration area with some plantings and perennials, as well as roses by the patio. Finally, all the new beds were edged with larger 8-12" river rocks. Future projects for the property include a composite deck, front segmented retaining wall and flagstone patio & fire-pit.
