This project was designed for one of my project manager's in the office. The challenge of the property is the grade which rises elevation various times creating challenges in the grading of the landscape beds, as well as site lines and views. We designed boulder walls to hold grade within the beds against the various flights of steps on site. The design highlights plants such as a 'Kousa' Dogwood on the corner as well as a lilac bush, photinia, 'Blue Princess' Hollies, 'Steeds' Holly and a 'Mt. Fire' Pieris. Evergreen foundation plantings line the driveway bed with a prominent interjection of color with an 'Endless Summer' Hydrangea. The patio at the top elevation of the property by the front door is edged in with evergreen plantings of 'Winter Gem' Boxwood's with perennials in the foreground.
