The shorehouse project sprung as a fun landscape project for a weekend. It involved very intensive demolition and cleanup of existing plant material and landscape beds on site. After demolition was complete Work4Tuition constructed new planting beds, and renovated existing beds with fresh soil and mulch. W4T also installed new plant material designed to included evergreen foundation plantings along the front with interjections of flowering shrubs. The side best was redone and hostas, coral bells and liriope were planting for shade tolerance. In the rear the homeowner desired plantings of color and height just outside the enclosed patio area. We designed and constructed a perennial bed of cone-flowers, black eyed Susan and salvia to create a color experience while sitting in the enclosed porch area.
