This freelance design project focused on remediation and remodeling the existing landscape and creating an intimate, shade-loving environment with great curb appeal. The large existing trees on-site offer an opportunity for shade perennials and shrubs such as Aucuba, jack Frost, Viburnums, Heuchera, Hostas, Etc. I creating a stepping stone pathway through the large bed to access the side of the property and utilities without having to walk all the way around the bed. The stone edging will be remediated and a few smaller boulders and river rocks placed throughout the design for the naturalistic element. The design also features a remediated and re-edged walkway with some evergreen shrubs and a flowering 'Kwanzan' Cherry tree on the corner of the drive.
